IPI Volunteers:

Our staff believes in giving back. In addition to serving on committees for multiple trade industry associations, we devote one Saturday per quarter to improving our community. In the two most recent quarters, we dedicated one afternoon cleaning up the C&O Canal. We also devoted a Saturday in October to filling backpacks with necessary school supplies for financially-challenged students. Further, we adopt multiple families during the holiday season, ensuring that the families have food and the children have gifts.

IPI Educates:

IPI is credentialed to present courses in biophilia to architects, builders, and interior designers for continuing education credit through Green Plants Green Buildings. We currently offer two one- hour courses: Moss Walls: A Biophilic Design Solution, and Biophilic Design in Fitwel, the WELL Building Standard, & The Living Building Challenge. If you would like to schedule a lunch and learn (we provide the lunch), give us a call!
IPI is proud to partner with the Design & Wellness Committee of American Institute of Architects to educate middle school children on biophilia as part of a comprehensive and ongoing STEM initiative. Our goal is to mentor youth on how to incorporate biophilia into their work, play, and home spaces by teaching them how to create their own healthy living environments.

IPI Participates

IPI celebrated National Indoor Plant Week by distributing hundreds of plants throughout the DC metropolitan area. If you would like to host us in your building, we will thrill your tenants with plants and other giveaways at no cost to you. NIPW is the third week of September.
In 2018 IPI hosted its first ever Terrarium and Wine nights: a resounding success! If you would like to book a similar event for team building, corporate or personal purposes, we would love to hear from you.
